Quintasha Swanson was born in Hartwell, GA the oldest of six children and raised by her grandparents in Atlanta, GA who instilled in her at an early age about the love of God, family, and community.   By 10, Quintasha was already serving in her community walking neighborhood kids to the store, and helping them with homework.

She is a graduate of Hart County High School and Georgia Medical Institute where she became a certified Medical Business Administrator.

In 2009, she started The Haven of Help, Inc. which is a non-profit organization geared towards helping people gain access to resources that assist with the basic needs of survival in five key areas: food, shelter, clothing, transportation, and employment. Under that umbrella is the Teen Career Development Workshop which provides job readiness training for youth ages 15-19.

As a result of her community activism, Quintasha was afforded the opportunity to become employed by the City of College Park Police Department.  Also, in the same year, she obtained employment as a Career Development Instructor for United Medical and Business Institute.

In December 2014 she resigned from her position with the City of College Park to run for the office of Ward 4 City Council of the City of College Park. She was unsuccessful in that endeavor, but plans to run again in the future. She has served on several boards and she is currently a member of the Austell Business Association and Voter Empowerment Collaborative.

Quintasha has developed and implemented several initiatives to empower, encourage, motivate, and uplift people in her community.  In 2008, she started the annual Back-2-School Bash, Single Mother’s Luncheon, Father’s Day Cook-out, Black History Month Spelling Bees, Holiday Breakfasts for teens with City Officials, Project Warm Blanket, Thanksgiving Basket giveaways, Christmas Family Sponsorships, and other projects because of her love for people.

Quintasha is the mother of three children (1 son, 2 daughters). She has been a spokesperson for United Way & Families First, Plus Size Model for Ashley Stewart Clothing and an advocate for full-figured women. She is the author of “Poetry In Emotion: A Collection of Original Poems “, and the Host of “On The Q-Tip” (a talk-show).
